Senior .NET and VSTO (MS Word and Excel) Developer
Our NYC client is seeking a strong experienced Software Engineer to improve critical software tools used widely by the analytical users. The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Worked on technically complex systems and is currently hands-on in software development.
- Has experience in interpreting complex requirements associated with Analytical tools.
- Experience working in Agile environment.
We’ll Count on You To:
- Provide code reviews.
- Work in Agile Environment to Design and Architect the program
- Code and test applications.
- Conduct Technical Explorations and POCs to improve the teams systems.
- Work with Product Owner and Scrum master on Sprint Ceremonies
- Troubleshooting and Debugging applications.
- Work with the Quality Analysts to ensure that the framework and coding standards are adhered to.
- Liaise with users and colleagues globally for the development and support of the software.
- Provide production support and help set support technical best practices
- Work closely with project's Product Owners / Business Analyst/Enterprise Architects to understand requirements and advise on technical solutions
What You Need to Have:
- Hands-On experience with using C#, Linq, .Net Multi-threading and .Net design patterns.
- Hands-On experience with Dependency Injection in .Net, for example using Unity, NInject etc.
- Hands-On experience with enterprise databases (NoSQL or Relational), including data modelling and design.
- Hands-On experience with Unit Testing in .Net, for example using, NUnit, XUnit FakeItEasy etc.
- Above knowledge and experience will have been gained in a commercial environment.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience developing Visual Studio for Office (VSTO) for MS Excel
- Hands-On experience with SCM tools, for example using, TFS, GIT, SVN etc.
- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience developing Visual Studio for Office (VSTO) for MS Word.
- Hands-On experience with CI/CD tools, for example using, Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity etc.
- Strong knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of experience of C#.NET (v4.5 minimum) and at least one of the following: ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API or WCF (Windows Communication Foundation).
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Minimum 2 year hands-on experience using SignalR and Aspose API for MS Excel and MS Word
- Using cloud technologies from AWS or Azure in .Net
- Experience in Financial Services industry
- Appian
- HTML5
- MongoDB or other NoSQL database
- Using .Net Core

- Strong academic background, educated to degree level, ideally in computer science or engineering
- Excellent interpersonal / relation building skill

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $140,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
