Senior Market Analyst Jobs

The Senior Market Analyst analyzes opportunities for market penetration and to capitalize on pricing and product positioning in HistoryMaker Homes communities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, and other duties may be assigned)

• Measures month over month effectiveness of market positioning and pricing/incentives and compiles an annual report of community strategy enhancements and their outcomes.
• Analyzes positioning in existing communities monthly and provides recommendations to sales, marketing, and executive teams to increase sales and profits.
• Spends 20% of the time in the field to better understand the market. Some travel in Texas is required.
• Works with the sales team to help sales counselors and managers understand community position and troubleshoot underperforming communities.
• Documents recommendations, changes, and analytical procedures for future reference.
• Analyzes depth of market and product positioning for potential and upcoming land deals.
• Recaps market conditions, economic shifts, housing affordability and lot pipeline quarterly.
• Analyzes complex data and converts findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports.
• Creates tools and systems to streamline and improve market data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Oversees, creates, and enhances reporting in Power BI.
• Collects, monitors, and analyzes data about consumers, competitors, and market conditions.
• Tracks and follows up on recommendations for community changes and action items.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and appropriately seek to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Computer Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Excel and Power BI or Tableau. Must have a general understanding of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of SQL or DAX is a plus.
• Language Ability: Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree (business, statistics, economics, MIS, or construction)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience
