Job Description

This position will be based in Hopewell, NJ supporting our new US manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be the Lead Security person at the facility. The site will be approx. 500K sq. ft and be a 24/7/365 operation. He/she will be responsible for shaping the security culture, establishing site security standards, managing contracted security, implementing best in class security policies, supporting crisis incidents, providing site security awareness training, and providing guidance and recommendations regarding site- specific security concerns.
This role will report to the Director of Global Security and will have a direct line of communications with them and consult on all cases/issues.
Essential Functions of the job:
Global Security
  • Must be able to accept the need to change course on a program or investigative strategy

  • All other duties as assigned
  • Must build relationships and partner with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies, Campus Security, and Property management
  • Fosters trust, confidence, and followership across the enterprise
  • Ensure that all security systems and devices including alarms, video, locks, and door hardware are properly functional and requests service as needed
  • Must be innovative in developing cost-effective, sensible solutions that deliver results
  • Must build relationships and partner with internal stakeholders, site leadership, EH&S, HR, Compliance, and other business partners
  • Dedicated to the principal of integrity and ethical behavior
  • Must be mission driven and self-directed to simultaneously work productively on multiple initiatives
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
People Management:
  • This position will oversee a team of 3rd party site security officers – and will ensure the development of post orders and an optimal security posture
Qualifications:
  • Experienced people manager a plus
  • Direct experience working in or directly with Corporate Security departments/functions required
  • Other Qualifications: the ability to give well-articulated presentations to all levels of employees and remain calm and provide guidance in a crisis
  • Experience in managing brand protection matters within and outside of the legitimate supply chain, from initial intake through enforcement action preferred. Experience in addressing non-product related global security matters preferred
  • Travel: 10% domestic and international
  • C-TPAT experience desired
  • Must have experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, standards, training materials and methods for identifying and protecting information, product, personnel, property, and facilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher recommended, fluency in English required
  • 7+ years of security experience working in pharmaceutical/life sciences or like industries, preferably within security, manufacturing, or operations
  • Must have history of ensuring security programs and strategies are in-line with best practices, effectively developed, implemented, and maintained
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Potential to build and be responsible for hiring, supervising, and developing a team.
Computer Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience working within in Security Platforms, ex. S2, Lenel, ProWatch, as well as CCTV systems.
Other Qualifications: Fluency in both verbal and written English; competency in any other major language would be a benefit.
Travel: +/- 10% global travel (as required)

Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $178,000.00 annually

Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
