Position:

The Sr. Manager, Congresses and Meetings, will oversee all Dermatology Meetings and HCP related events for Dermavant Sciences. This individual will work with the commercial department to develop and execute against a vision for Dermatology conferences. The individual will work in a matrix environment, balance numerous stakeholders and create and enhance relationships with both internal and external partners. This position will report to the Director, Peer to Peer Marketing.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director, Peer to Peer as needed.
  • Own the Conference calendar and works with various internal stakeholders including Marketing, Strategic Relations, Sales and Medical to ensure Dermavant is represented well at Dermatology medical conferences.
  • Manage the Congress budget to track variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensuring vendors and partners consistently meet or exceed their obligations and agreements
  • Lead cross function pre-conference and post-conference recap for major Dermatology meetings
  • Identify, analyze, and monitor potential meeting risk using risk management techniques and strategies. Provide contingency plans and appropriately manage emergencies.
  • Oversee and manage meeting suppliers including venues, meeting management companies, production companies, etc. to ensure focus on stated meeting objectives and manage vendors to ensure deliverables and timelines are successfully met to expectation.
  • Lead meetings project teams with internal stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and external vendors, outlining clear expectations of each role, foster an environment for open collaboration and innovation and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Manage live logistical components including meeting space, room set-ups, food and beverage, technology, audio visual, sleeping room reservations, production, and on-site management in person and/or with meeting management company.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in Zoom and Microsoft Team
  • Experience working in the Dermatology convention space preferred
  • Knowledge of trends, technologies and regulations affecting the meetings/travel industry
  • Ability to travel domestically 20% of the year, including weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Minimum of 5 years in pharma/biotech meeting planning
  • Knowledge of and experience in managing events governed by PhRMA Code and Transparency Reporting (Sunshine Act)
  • Virtual and hybrid meeting experience
