Senior Living - Sr. Staff Accountant - $85K-$90K + Bonus

Outstanding and VERY reputable and rapidly growing Senior Living Property Management company located in Dallas is looking for a 2-3 year Sr. Living Staff Property Accountant for an immediate need. Growth to Controller

Position pays a base of $85,000 - $90,000 with holiday bonus, room for growth, tremendous stability and a wonderful work life balance.

SUMMARY: Computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general Property Management accounting functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes and maintains the fixed asset records, including the addition, disposal and transferring of assets between properties, and investigating and correcting system discrepancies for assigned
• Performs monthly property close process for assigned properties, including recording accruals, depreciation, revenue, and Accounts Receivable
• Reconciles property-level bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly, including the documentation and resolution of variances or reconciling items
• Prepares monthly journal entries for assigned properties, including communicating with property-level leadership about required accruals and adjustments
• Perform property accounting close processes on monthly basis, including Balance Sheet & Expense account reconciliation, property financial close package, AR Aging Review and Follow-up, Asset Management Accounting, Expense Accounts Variance Analysis on a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelors Degree required
• Yardi is preferred
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Understand GAAP practices.
• 2-3+ years of experience, preferably in real estate finance, development, or investment
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Property Management Accounting required
