SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER_Hotel Interiors.

• HIRING FIRM: Luxury Interior Design firm with more than 21 locations.
• LOCATION: Downtown, Miami-FLA.
• STATUS: U.S. Citizens, Canadian Citizens, Green Card Holders, only.
• SALARY: $70K to $110K per year DOE. They can pay more!

YOUR ROLE:

• You'll lead/participate in leading luxury interior design projects.
• As a Senior Interior Designer, you'll combine creativity, technical knowledge and business skills to produce beautiful and functional spaces for clients.
• Work on the interior fit-out of guest-facing spaces for: luxury Hotel, luxury Retail, luxury Residential buildings and upscale Restaurants.

Your tasks, include:

• Conducting programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at a final approved plan that meets the goals of each project.
• Leading day-to-day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines, manage communication and coordination with clients and consultants.
• Sculpting interior spaces as a holistic experience including: specifications of furniture, lighting, artwork and materials.
• Working with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet the overall objectives of each project.
• Participating in the construction administration of projects - incl. review of submittals & finished samples, as well as value engineering efforts to keep the design intent.
• Communicating conceptual design ideas via 2D & 3D presentations/vignettes/design drawings.
• Creating initial concept packages with a strong design story to help move the design process through to project completion.

Ideal Candidates:

• Ability to read design plans and blueprints (preferred).
• Have a Bachelors/Masters Degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture.
• Develop vignettes & hand-sketches of architectural and FF&E ideas that work in the space and meet design goals. Then, articulates "why concepts work" to the design team, by using sound reasoning.
• Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables.
• Have some knowledge of Hotel interiors standards & an understanding of Hotel operations.
• Have led interior design teams.
• Have a fair to robust understanding of the Hotel industry - as a business.
• Have 6 to 10 years/more of professional Interior Design experience.
• Have business development and/or client-presentation experience.
• Experience with designing luxury Residential and Restaurants - helps.
• Have 3 years/more of work experience - designing Hotel interiors.
