The ABC Owned Television Stations division is comprised of eight television stations and the divisional headquarters. The group has television stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh-Durham, and Fresno.

Position Summary:

The ABC Owned Stations (OTVS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will support financial planning and reporting, including preparing analyses for Long Range Plans, Annual Operating Plans, forecasts, and other performance metrics. The candidate will be responsible for creating financial models and analyses to support decision-making for OTVS.

The position will report into the Finance Manager, ABC OTVS Division

Responsibilities:

• Work with key stakeholders, operating groups and finance team members to improve the effectiveness of the financial planning process, assumptions and results
• Live Well Channel/Localish Channel
• Content Development, Audience Development and Localish
• Support the group with special projects and ad-hoc analyses and reporting
• Division Departments: President’s office, Finance, and Technology
• Utilize and maintain effective tracking tools to monitor revenue and spending for digital initiatives
• Partner with Finance team members to identify and establish best practices and consistent analyses throughout OTVS
• Prepare reports on financial performance, forecast, and budget to communicate to executive team at OTVS and DET
• Support preparation of OTVS Capital and Statement of Cash Flows for Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts, and Long Range Plan
• Perform Annual Operating and Long Range Planning processes for Business Partners/OTVS Leadership:
• Maintain financial planning models in Cognos. Lead further development of the Cognos system for forecast/long range plan purposes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in public accounting or media/entertainment finance
• Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Innovative orientation with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Strong technical skills including Microsoft Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Cognos TM1 and SAP
• Support a culture of innovation, creativity, collaboration, and diversity
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

The hiring range for this position in CA is $101,790.00-$124,410.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
