Financial Analyst Jobs

SUMMARY

As an integral member of the accounting and finance team, the Financial Analyst position is responsible for various loan, deposit, and other reporting to Senior Management. This individual must have loan accounting experience and must have a strong working knowledge of Excel to provide analytics on these portfolios.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare various Deposit Reports, including Deposit Change, Deposit Trend and Deposit Ranking Reports, for Senior Management.

· Prepare and analyze loan portfolio reports, including loan performance, delinquency, and risk assessment.

· Assist in developing and maintaining loan and deposit models for forecasting and stress testing purposes.

· Coordinate with CFO, CCO and management team to retrieve historical and create prospective loan analytics to monitor loan performance.

· Identify trends, patterns, and potential risks within loan and deposit portfolios and provide recommendations for mitigating risks or improving performance.

· Loan and deposit commission reporting.

· Prepare Call Report support schedules related to Loans, Allowance for Loan Loss (ALLL) and Loan Income

· Prepare quarterly ALLL analysis support schedules.

· Prepare quarterly Regulation F reporting.

· Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management through written reports and presentations.

· Other ad-hoc reports requested by management.

· Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to this position and its job responsibilities, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP, Consumer Privacy, Regulation CC, Information Security, Bank Protection Act, FACT-Identity Theft, Information Technology and GLBA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS in Finance, Business or related field required.

· 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

· Expert knowledge and skills in all aspects of Microsoft Excel (Tables, Pivot Tables, and complex calculations, etc.).

· Highly developed attention to detail.

· Well-versed in Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) or Financial Accounting Standards (FAS).

· An analytical, working understanding of loan accounting.

· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

· Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various business leaders.
