About The Job


The Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will analyze the status of the company by collecting, monitoring, and studying financial data to report outcomes and actions back to management. The Analyst is responsible for keeping track of the company’s financial plan and all variances to the plan. The analyst will be the primary person responsible to track the company’s cash flow and monitor balance sheet accruals for monthly reporting and forecasting. Analyst will also be part of the CAPEX planning and reporting process. The Senior Financial Analyst role will report to the CBU Finance Planning and Analysis Manager. This position is based in our Rockville, Maryland office!


Essential Functions


  • Attend internal and Region cash meetings to monitor and drive accurate forecasting of Nutricia cash position
  • Establish and report Product, Channel, and Customer P&L reviews with owners. Provide insight, analysis and operational recommendations
  • Manage financial submissions to Regional and Corporate groups
  • Manage functional group’s expense and variance reporting and analysis, including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, HR, and Medical groups. Provide insight and assessment into emerging issues, challenges, and trends
  • Lead/coordinate free cash flow and balance sheet animation
  • Proactively manage timeliness and efficiency of budget and month end procedures
  • Partner with Topline and Operations Finance teams to understand volume, price and mix components of topline and cost of goods, and how it impacts our forecast and KPIs
  • Coordinate with Financial Business Services to ensure expense accuracy and agree on risks/opportunities for the monthly financial closing
  • Support financial system input for monthly closing and rolling forecast process
  • Some DanGo (Internal Audit) and support required
  • Establish Nutricia action plans and monitoring for key levers of free cash flow growth and resources
  • Work with Operations Finance team to track CAPEX requests, spend and develop forecast for the company
  • Partner with Noram region to manage, assess and resolve variances, issues and challenges for Nutricia cash flow
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to management, functional, and category teams
  • Analyze and report monthly and YTD financial results for overall company
  • Create models to provide financial insights enabling business leaders to evaluate new business ventures and/or changing business paradigms in an efficient way
  • Other tasks as needed
  • Own a monthly rolling forecasts process by providing analysis and recommendations to create robust P&Ls, manage risks and opportunities, and mitigate variance to corporate targets
  • Assist in preparing materials and presentations for senior management on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis


About You


  • You have strong working knowledge of CAPEX, preferably 1-3 years of direct experience
  • You are capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • You have 3-5 years of experience
  • You have the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • You have strong analytical skills
  • You have strong knowledge of reporting, analysis and data manipulation software
  • You are a self-starter who takes initiative to complete projects and assignments, deadline driven
  • You have strong problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, strong group interaction skills
  • You are able to design and build pivot tables in excel; advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong financial modeling skills or demonstrated aptitude
  • You have a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • You have excellent organizational skills
  • You have advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • You have strong working knowledge of Cash Flow management, preferably 1-3 years of direct experience
  • You thrive in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment
  • You have advanced computer, mathematical, and analytical aptitude


The base compensation range for this position is $90k-95k commensurate with experience.
