The Senior Financial Analyst will support the reporting of the J&J Worldwide Vision Financials, consolidation of the Vision Care US P&L/ Balance sheet and will provide key business decision support. This is a critical and high visibility role with opportunities to present to senior management. The role requires a high level of motivation, flexibility, and the ability to perform complex analysis under tight deadlines with limited direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting & performance analytics to provide decision support to Finance leadership; Opportunity to support various cross-functional projects.
- Lead global processes and define best practices to ensure consistency in reporting across financial metrics.
- Leverage key systems (SAP, Tableau, TM1, BRAVO) to facilitate creation of robust financial analytics and drive consistent reporting.
- Perform quarter close responsibilities including, but not limited to, preparation of journal entries, coordinating quarterly compliance SOP/SOX procedures, and providing commentary for variances versus plan.
- Seek opportunities to continually improve reporting and forecasting processes.
- Lead the consolidation for the Vision Care US P&L & Balance sheet and coordinate planning processes for major forecast cycles, budgeting processes, and actual reporting.
- Support for framing financial results to Senior Leadership and providing financial support to understand risks/opportunities and trend analysis.
- Partner with the Vision Care and Surgical Vision teams to consolidate and report Worldwide Financials across multiple metrics (P&L, Balance Sheet, Free Cashflow, Headcount).
- Partner with various cross-functional Finance Teams as well as business leaders.
Qualifications
- This position will be located in Jacksonville, Florida and may require up to 5% travel.
- Must be able to quickly construct and design presentation-ready spreadsheets for management, required.
- A minimum of 3 years professional experience in Finance or Accounting or related business is required.
- Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
- The ability to challenge business assumptions, develop alternative scenarios and educate business partners on financial concepts is required.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work well in a team-environment is required.
- Experience with SAP and/or financial reporting tools is preferred.
- Prior experience creating and delivering presentations to senior management is required.
- Influential leader that enjoys driving business results is required.
- Must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and effectively prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, required.
- Positive, can-do attitude, and desire to learn are required.
- CPA, CFA, CMA, MBA, or other financial certifications are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
- Must be able to work on multiple priorities and can be flexible/flow to the work, required.
- Strong technical skills with and attention to detail is required.
