Senior Estimator - Infrastructure Construction

Turner & Townsend are hiring an experienced Senior Estimator to work with the Infrastructure team onsite in New York.

Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly post contract cost reports and present to client.
• Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking, and valuation process.
• Identify improvements for cost management procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to appropriate line manager.
• Provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts.
• Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all projects stages.
• Be a Team Player – support the junior estimators and team, be flexible and maintain a positive attitude.
• Perform all aspects of estimating, analysis and verification of contractor costs.
• Develop cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Meet and negotiate costs with Contractors.
• Use the appropriate estimating tool (client tools, customized estimating spreadsheets, industry estimating software, benchmarking, etc.).
• Provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final costs.
• Provide leadership to cost management team when necessary, ensure the delivery on all of accountabilities.

• Airport/Rail experience preferred but not required
• 10+ years of experience
• Management Experience
• Requires having on site experience
• Self starter / Career driven / Well organized
• Role will include all faucets of estimating, providing QA & efficient delegation of work to others in the estimating team

The salary range for this full-time role is $95K-$175k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
