Job Description
Position Summary


The Senior Director of Growth Operations is responsible for modeling the 3 Company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence, and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders.


The Senior Director of Growth Operations directly promotes organizational growth by supporting Compassus' sales leadership teams and healthcare consultants with strategic support ranging from data-driven recommendations/guidance, standardized reporting, training support & skill development, and project management. This role will lead and grow this rapidly evolving function by identifying key opportunity areas, executing on priority initiatives, expanding & developing a team, and coordinating with senior leaders and a variety of other key stakeholders to achieve alignment/buy-in.


Position Specific Responsibilities


  • Builds trusting relationships with key stakeholders across corporate headquarters and the various regional Growth teams; works collaboratively to ensure Growth Ops is viewed as a valuable support function.
  • Demonstrates a leadership/development mindset; coaches direct reports and develops them to maximize output & efficiency, while helping them to achieve their own career development objectives.
  • Identifies opportunities for Growth Ops to make impact, documents in initiative backlog, prioritizes based on the impact, urgency, dependencies, etc. and deploys resources against each.
  • Updates Senior Executives on key initiatives, progress, etc. through oversight of standardized reporting tools and through presentations in a range of leadership forums.
  • Creates clear project plans and manages multiple priorities to meet key deadlines; maintains high degree of organization; keeps track of detail and nuance within large programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Leads Growth Operations organization; leads team and personally executes against top priorities to drive significant, measurable organic growth impact.
  • Coordinates closely with broader Growth leaders, including Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Products, etc. to identify and manage important interlinkages.


Education And/or Experience


  • Demonstrated ability to drive stakeholder alignment/buy-in up and down an organization through clear / thoughtful communications and interactions.
  • Experience building/scaling teams and organizational processes.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of healthcare industry highly preferred.
  • MBA or related Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing, Data or Analytics, or related field required.
  • Strong leadership background with proven ability to hold accountability and develop team member skills & capabilities.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Consulting, Sales/Marketing, Business Analysis, or related field required.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills required. High degree of self-management with a demonstrated ability to drive multiple projects from inception through to completion on clearly defined timelines required. Ability to work in agile or less structured environments. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to conceive of innovative solutions and provide recommendations to senior leadership. Ability to assess trends and anticipate issues, identify any gaps, establish and analyze facts, diagnose the root cause of the problem, generate potential innovative solutions, develop an action plan, and execute. Ability to distill strategic ideas down to their practical business application. Ability to think critically about a problem and come up with solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Expert in Excel usage including VLOOKUP’s, IF statements, and other standard functions; other important areas with Excel include pivot tables, linking data, and producing charts/graphs. Experience with data tables and data visualization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

Estimated salary range $140000 - $180000 / year. Actual salary will vary by geographic location and experience.
