Summary:
The Senior Director of Commercial Finance role is designed to collaborate with Sales and Operational Leaders within a specific business segment, with the objective of maximizing profitability, executing strategic initiatives, delivering precise forecasting, and effectively allocating investments to drive growth and enhancements. A successful individual will have a strong understanding of operations, of how decisions will impact financial results, and of their effectiveness at steering the business unit towards the company’s overarching goals.
Essential Functions:
  • Support business development initiatives and evaluate potential investment opportunities using NPV, ROI, and by conducting cost-benefit analysis.
  • Effectively integrate new business units acquired through M&A into company’s culture, operating systems, and financial reporting systems.
  • Present reports and analyses to the senior management and executive leadership teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Be a key contributor to ILG Business systems, specifically SDP (Strategic Deployment Process) to ensure effective execution of the enterprise’s transformational initiatives.
  • Manage the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for the customers, products, and services within the business unit’s purview, coordinate with corporate FP&A to align forecasts with overall company initiatives and macroeconomic factors.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and exposure in the business unit and apprise senior leadership of any potential concerns.
  • Assist in cash flow generation by driving improvements within the business unit’s control for DOH, DSO, and DPO.
  • Develop and maintain financial performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve operational performance.
  • Oversee, in coordination with the centralized accounting team, month-end close activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the business unit's profit and loss statements (P&Ls).
  • Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, including hiring, training, and development.
  • Evaluate pricing strategies and analyze the profitability of customers, products, and services.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making as a member of the senior management team, including the development of financial models and forecasts as needed.
  • Oversee and manage the financial operations of the business unit, including forecasting, profitability, and overall operational performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, manufacturing, supply-chain, and operations, to ensure business goals are aligned with the financial objectives of the organization.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting and financial modeling.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance or combination of finance/operations roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
  • Private equity experience a plus
  • Adept use of Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI to extrapolate data and create meaningful reports for end users.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in the relevant industry or sector is often preferred, but not always required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for an extended period and operate standard office equipment.
  • Work performed in an office environment.
  • Must pass work eligibility requirements.
Pay range : $175K - $215K
