Job Description
OneOncology is positioning community oncologists to drive the future of cancer care through a patient-centric, physician-driven, and technology-powered model to help improve the lives of everyone living with cancer. Our team is bringing together leaders to the market place to help drive OneOncology’s mission and vision.
Why join us? This is an exciting time to join OneOncology. Our values-driven culture reflects our startup enthusiasm supported by industry leaders in oncology, technology, and finance. We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to improve and build new processes that support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients they serve.
:
The Director of Strategic Finance will be a key leader on the Strategic Finance team, working to drive growth of OneOncology’s existing platform practices though both organic and inorganic expansion opportunities. This will be a dynamic role which requires a multi-dimensional skillset including the ability to operate independently, manage a team, lead key deal processes and other strategic projects, and communicate effectively with OneOncology and practice leadership. The individual should be an experienced and highly motivated self-starter, comfortable voicing their opinion and asking questions, and able to work in ambiguous environments.
The role will provide exciting growth opportunities for personal and career development within a high-growth healthcare company, as well as frequent interactions with the CFO, VP of Finance, and regular exposure to OneOncology executives, practice leadership, and our private equity investors. This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience in a high-visibility position within a well-capitalized, high-growth environment. While the individual will work primarily within the Strategic Finance team, the role will directly interface with the business development and operations teams, as well as functions including FP&A, accounting, and clinical operations. OneOncology is growing rapidly and adding multiple new practices each year. The Strategic Finance team is at the center of our growth. Individuals joining our team at this point will experience a unique opportunity to grow with the company.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Strategic Finance efforts to grow our existing platform practices by evaluating key strategic initiatives including capital projects, practice growth opportunities, and service line expansion
  • Manage “growth readiness” workstream for new platform practices, collaborating closely with the business development, operations, and recruiting teams to assess existing practice infrastructure and economics, prioritize initiatives, and develop multi-year growth plan
  • Own the preparation of materials for key stakeholders including OO management, board, and our private equity investors
  • Partner directly with the VPs of Development and Service Line Expansion to execute on existing platform growth strategies and coordinate resources across the three teams
  • Direct team of 3-4 that is responsible for M&A processes and diligence workstreams for existing practices, including financial analysis, communication with target practices, and presentation of recommendations to both OneOncology and practice leadership
Qualifications
  • Healthcare services related experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or economics
  • Financial modeling capabilities
  • Ability to analyze information from various data sources into a concise message for senior leaders
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of work experience including team management and direct responsibility for executive-level relationships and presentations
    • Transaction advisory, corporate M&A, or investment banking experience strongly preferred

  • Must be able to work in a fast growing, rapidly evolving business, often with multiple projects simultaneously
