Description


The Global Senior Managing Director, Medical Device & IVD will oversee the compliance and consulting business unit leading the execution of the division’s global strategy as well as ensuring achievement of financial and business goals aligned with the NSF mission, values, and strategy. The Global Senior Managing Director is accountable for accelerating organizational performance through the implementation of growth strategies and implementing NSF standard operating procedures to ensure profitability, seamless alignment, and productivity of NSF services.

Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports the development and implementation of the division’s strategy. Ensures financial and operational goals and growth strategies are achieved and aligned with client expectations and the NSF strategy, mission, and values.
  • Responsible for the P&L for the business unit
  • Ensures successful implementation of transformational initiatives across the globe including organizational changes, integration of mergers and acquisitions, innovation programs, and implementation of new technologies.
  • Develops a culture of engaged, high performing, developed and accountable talent to support the organization. Ensures teams are empowered to meet and exceed goals through performance management, leadership development, and business acumen. Attracts and retains the best talent through effective recruiting, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Conducts business reviews to understand progress toward Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and timelines, mitigates risk, and ensures achievement of business and financial metrics. Reports on division’s performance.
  • Develops and manages the division’s budget aligned with the leadership team. Presents the budget, impact, positioning, deliverables, and resources to ensure achievement of revenue and margins as defined in the strategy and goals.
  • Leads by example by exhibiting the NSF values. Serves as a strong motivator and leader for team members, inspiring talent to achieve higher levels of performance. Maintains positive team-oriented operations that support the NSF positive culture vision.
  • Ensures systems are implemented within the division and functions to ensure tools and processes achieve operational excellence.
  • Establishes and maintains critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders including clients, employees, communities, governments, outside vendors and partners, and others as required to achieve global strategies and objectives. Ensures superior customer care and achievement of expectations and needs. Communicates throughout the organization in a timely manner with leaders, team members, clients, and partners.
Qualifications


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, including selecting and developing talent, building trust, coaching team members, and managing performance resulting in high performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, understand customer needs and deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with the mission and goals
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience leading a global program or operation, including ability to identify market trends, acquisition targets and innovative services
  • Consulting experience ie. FDA, MHRA, EMA
  • Experience developing and implementing strategy
  • 15 years in industry experience Medical Device (from a regulator ex. FDA
  • Strong medical device and IVD compliance experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing P&L including allocating resources and managing expenses to achieve or exceed revenue and profit targets
  • Comfortable and proficient in dealing with all levels of organization including C-Suite

  • Demonstrated business and compliance acumen, including ability to build relationships, interpret financial indicators, adopt innovative ideas, and apply knowledge of the business to advance organizations goals
  • Collaborative with a global mindset, engages with internal and external stakeholders across regions, divisions, and functions to achieve business results

Salary Range: $150,000-$330,000
The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At NSF, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
