Mantell Associates has partnered with a cutting-edge CDMO organisation in the Small Molecule space to aid their search for a Senior Director of Business Development. This role will entail gaining a deep understanding of the organisation's product and service portfolio, as well as taking on responsibility for assigned customers right from the beginning.
Senior Director of Business Development - Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for Sales, Business Development, and Marketing initiatives within the organisation
- Exhibit high-level consulting skills, collaborating closely with customers to address their challenges
- Emphasise the implementation of a comprehensive suite of sales solutions for customers
- Manage project acquisition and oversee the entire sales process
- Your daily work will involve close familiarisation with the company offerings, in addition to managing a portfolio of clients from the outset
- Remain attuned to customer needs and identify new opportunities to create tailored solutions
- Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers across various departments in customer organisations
- Work in tandem with colleagues from different areas to develop customised solutions and encourage interdepartmental collaboration
- Participate in the expansion of the organisation's business areas
Senior Director of Business Development - Requirements:
- Capable of leveraging excellent customer service and advice to cultivate long-term customer relationships and drive sales success
- Have several years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Key Accounts management
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical and drug discovery industries
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Science, or a related field
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exhibit technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in drug discovery and development
- Comfortable with utilising technology as an integral part of the sales process
- Exhibit strong networking skills and ability to establish connections with people from diverse backgrounds
