Job Description
What to Expect

Energy demand planning partners with sales, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, product and installation operations to support the rapid growth of Tesla Energy products. Demand planning functions include sales forecasting, capacity planning, data analysis, and operations program management. The ideal candidate has a passion for sustainable energy, collaborates well with others, and is skilled at using data to solve complex operational problems.

What You’ll Do
  • Send planning signals to supply chain, analyze detailed historical consumption data, highlight trends and patterns by location
  • Optimize financial health with planning decisions and scenario analyses alongside new product introductions and rapid business growth
  • Automate operational models to improve accuracy and efficiency of operations as business scales, provide detailed business requirements of future planning system
  • Align demand and supply signals and supply allocations, maintain source of truth for product master data and develop planning systems and reporting expertise
  • Proactively mitigate short and long-term supply constraints through problem solving and well-constructed supply plans, including reporting on risks to Energy leadership
  • Create global demand forecasts for the Energy business, including Tesla Solar and Solar Roof, Powerwall, and power electronics shared across these platforms
What You’ll Bring
  • Expert time management and task prioritization, embrace of change and rapid pace of work
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel required (ERP systems, SQL, Python a strong plus)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build organic support for key initiatives
  • 5+ years of work experience in engineering, supply chain, production, management consulting and/or other related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to interface with leadership group
