Sr. Data Analyst

SCS was founded in November 2016 with the merger of Schiefer Media and ChopShop to form SCS. Schiefer Media’s James Schiefer and ChopShop’s Zach Lyons wanted to create an agency uniquely designed to meet the future needs of consumer marketers by bringing media, creative and content together in a nimble, data-first offering designed for the new speed of consumer business today. SCS acquired Fuel in July 2018 to bring advanced digital studio capabilities to the agency. In 2021, SCS acquired Atlanta-based digital performance marketing agency Swarm to strengthen e-commerce, retail, and performance media capabilities, taking SCS to over 100 staff across three offices.

The duties of the Senior Data Analyst span all stages of data management and reporting for our paid media and digital clients, from website tag implementation to dashboard creation and analysis. As part of a small (but mighty!) analytics team, the position will be hands-on with data and responsible for timely and accurate client deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a balance of technical skills and an analytical mind to draw meaningful and actionable insights from data.

● Work with the Strategy and Media teams to provide weekly and monthly performance reports

through spreadsheets, dashboards, and client-facing presentations

● Perform ETL and queries as needed to extract and transform data from multiple platforms to

conduct analysis and gather insights

● Execute tagging implementation of new website analytics through Google Tag Manager

● Design and maintain dashboards that provide relevant insights and perspectives to the proper

audiences and marketing channels

● Provide guidance and training to clients on best practices in analytics (KPIs, data

implementation, reporting)

Qualifications:

● Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field or marketing/business

● 4+ years Analytics experience

● Experience with website analytics platforms, particularly GA4 and Adobe Analytics preferred

● Strong knowledge of website analytics tag implementation, particularly Google Tag Manager

● Strong knowledge of Excel and large datasets; experience with ETL a plus

● Experience with data visualization platforms: Domo, Looker Studio (Data Studio), MCI

(Datorama) a plus

● Knowledge of SQL preferred

● Strong communication skills to translate data to non-analytical audiences

● Ability to communicate as easily with web developers as well as for client presentations

● Comfortable working on multiple accounts simultaneously, sometimes with limited information

● Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and deadlines

● Experience with quantitative business measures (ROI, LTV) a plus; familiarity with advanced

analytics (regression analysis, predictive modeling, forecasting, MMM optimization) a plus
