Senior Corporate Communications Manager, Partner Experience

We are looking for a senior corporate communications manager, partner experience who will advance our partner brand news agenda and storytelling via traditional and digital earned media, and through highly integrated marketing communications programming. In direct partnership with our internal communications team, this person will program, execute and measure high-impact, integrated communications plans focused on Starbucks partner experience news and storytelling agenda. Within that integrated programming, this person will be responsible for media relations strategy, relationship building and execution.
Experience and a passion for media relations is a must. Candidates should enjoy and demonstrate a proven track record engaging with reporters, editors, partners and key internal and external stakeholders.
As a key subject matter expert within the organization, you will be expected to provide timely strategic communications counsel to cross-functional partners and teams across the company, including senior leaders.

We’d Love To Hear From People With
  • Comfort working with team members who are remote. 
  • Experience establishing and leading complex integrated communications plans with multiple departments and stakeholders, and successful track record in leading large-scale initiatives.
  • 7+ years or more communications experience (with 3+ years in corporate communications) in retail, food & beverage, agency, and/or corporate management environment.
  • A process-oriented mindset who can take on often ambiguous projects and insert process to establish clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • A deep curiosity for store operations and what it’s like to be a Starbucks partner. The ideal candidate understands the right voice and tone necessary for future and current partners, thought leaders and policy makers, and has a demonstrated understanding of Starbucks and its retail business. 
  • Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity and experience with non-traditional communications channels and platforms, and how they behave.
