Senior Controller

Our client, a private and independent investment management firm, is hiring a Senior Controller to specifically be responsible for helping to build out and manage the property accounting sub-team.

Responsibilities

• Managing all property-level treasury activities and cash management process as well as job cost, budgeting, and financial reporting for development projects
• Directing and managing third-party property accounting team while supporting this critical relationship as needed by providing leadership and implementing process improvement
• Preparing detailed year-end work papers and supporting schedules requested by third-party tax preparers
• Participating in the property transactions including acquisitions and dispositions by providing due diligence materials and/or other financial accounting resources

Requirements And Skills

• 8+ years of progressive Real Estate accounting and/or finance experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance; CPA and/or Advanced Degree is preferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Office applications, Yardi, MRI, and AvidXchange
