What to Expect
What to Expect
The Senior Construction Superintendent will work closely with members of the Retail Infrastructure project management, design, and workplace departments from design review through construction to new site openings. The Construction Superintendent will oversee on-site construction performed by General Contractors on projects across their region. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings for constructability, tracking project schedules, coordinating vendor tool installations, resolving construction issues, and performing inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Superintendent will be responsible for 20+ concurrent projects. 60%- 80% travel required.
What You’ll Do
  • Direct work in field, track changes, etc. both individually and leading or participating in a larger team
  • Work with General Contractors to develop execution plans / schedules
  • Review project plans and specifications for constructability
  • Coordinate and supervise GC’s on-site construction activities for 20+ concurrent projects under construction across region
  • Drive project schedules and solve technical construction problems in the field
  • Work with tool installers to facilitate successful project completion
  • Schedule and lead quality control and site safety inspections
  • Ensure frequent communication with key project individuals, including job site personnel and Project Manager
  • Develop templates and standards for future phases / projects
  • Track and receive material deliveries and resolve delivery discrepancies
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing the applicable state and OSHA regulations
Interact with third party inspection personnel and City / State / County inspectors
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree (MS preferred) or evidence of exceptional ability
  • Previous experience as a Lead Superintendent on previous industrial facility construction, Brownfield construction, building renovation or tenant improvement project (s)
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
  • Experience with design-build projects
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards and environmental regulations
  • Understanding of construction design documents and ability to provide constructability feedback prior to and during construction
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite products, office email system, scheduling tool knowledge
