Job Description

Congo Brand’s goal is to be the go-to ‘Better for You Brand’ for everything from nutritional supplements, energy drinks, snacks and much more.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Supply Chain to implement category strategies.
  • Responsible for creation and distribution of monthly syndicated scorecard, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and consumer behavior to inform the strategic direction of the category.
  • Present findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management, using data visualization and presentation tools.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners to drive category growth.
  • Use data-driven insights to influence assortment decisions and shelf placement.
  • Develop and manage strategic category plans to enhance profitability, optimize product performance, and increase market share for our non-beverage categories.
  • Capability to write planograms leveraging JDA software and update product libraries.
  • Analyze sales trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats, and to drive business growth within our non-beverage categories.
  • Design, manage, and implement pricing and promotional strategies to optimize product performance.
Requirements
  • Proficient in other M365 tools such as PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint
  • XLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a must, PowerBI/Power Pivot & Query is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Category Management, experience in sports nutrition or beverage an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data and insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills and a desire to be a lifelong learner.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) and/or other major space planning tools, experience with updating product databases is ideal.
  • Proficient understanding of retail consumer behavior and market dynamics.
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data platforms (SPINS, Nielsen, and IRI) is required.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Passion for the beverage industry/CPG and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our business.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, and other data/visualization tools.
  • Power Automate experience a plus.
Bonus points for those with experience in 84.51 Stratum.
