Cloud-based architecture and modern technical capabilities will enable us to grow our impact while providing the best client experience possible.


Edward Jones is seeking a Senior Business Architect to help lead the digital transformation efforts.  This individual will be a member of the Business Architecture team that is responsible for leading efforts to align business capabilities and product value delivery to our enterprise strategies, technology roadmap, and digital transformation.  The team's purpose, as a part of the Enterprise Architecture team, is to accelerate delivery of client-centric solutions, drive consistent technology use, support transformation strategy, and provide adaptable architecture through continuous technology improvement.


What You'll do :


Our Senior Business Architects unite business strategy and technology transformation to drive business outcomes.  These architects:


  • Serve as a SME across multiple domains to be able to synthesize architecture plans with an informed view of new and emerging technology solutions to enable digital transformation across the enterprise.
  • Mentor and build the technical skills of others, and foster a strong and collaborative team environment
  • Develop and execute project / deployment plans that meet scope, time, cost and quality requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in alignment with Digital Technology and firm objectives.
  • Investigate emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact to the firm by conducting research, and identify solutions, and make recommendations supported by a properly developed business case that includes technical feasibility, costs, benefits, etc.
  • Posted Internally as a Senior Technical Architect
  • Develop processes and documentation according to the needs of the firm.
  • Quickly assess, mitigate risk, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues using industry standard tools to include packet analyzers
  • Develop an understanding of current capabilities, technology strategy, and the alignment to business goals while considering operational constraints of the IT organization.
  • Collaborate and influence others, to include peers, leaders, and vendors


Skills-Requirements


What You'll Need:


  • 15+ years of Technology and Financial Services experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Architect
  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience

  • Strong communication skills to be able to articulate complex content to both technical and on technical audiences all the way up to Senior Leadership.
