About The Opportunity


The Admissions Communications Team is a hybrid marketing and communications team which blends traditional and digital marketing efforts with a focus on communication strategy. The team is made up of experts in skill areas such as: marketing, communications, analytics, and strategy. We are an agile and flexible team that aims to enable better storytelling by stronger reporting and strategic analysis of our marketing and communications efforts.


Reporting to the Director of Admissions Communications, the Senior Assistant Director is responsible for working across traditional and digital marketing and communication channels, including but not limited to: web, social media, email, and other media; complex direct mail campaigns, print collateral; advertising; and event marketing. Close collaboration with teammates will be a key facet of this role.


This role will support the Admissions Communications team in a number of campaigns, including working as a liaison to various campus partners in order to manage campaigns related to global experiences and enrollment pathways. This role will manage the execution of the Apply Now campaign. The Senior Assistant Director will also collaborate, support, and assist many of the daily activities and initiatives within the Admissions Communications unit.


The Senior Assistant Director is responsible for creating, deploying, tracking and measuring marketing and communication efforts in support of the enrollment strategy for undergraduate day, pre-college, and other programs within Northeastern University. The Senior Assistant Director will build and manage pieces of an extensive communications campaigns.

Qualifications


  • Strong project management and organizational skills required.
  • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to handle projects from start to finish and strong leadership skills to support the unit’s interests and goals as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing marketing, advertising, communications, social media and promotional materials required.
  • Marketing/Communications experience preferred
  • Have the ability to report, interpret and analyze data to support the assessment of marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with content management systems.
  • Knowledge of social media strategy and platforms such as Hootsuite/Sprout Social, native social analytic platforms, Radian 6.
  • Should possess excellent writing and communications skills and an ability to work collaboratively while supporting multiple projects and campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign & Photoshop expected.
  • Experience using CRM tools and Slate is a plus
