Responsibilities

PCG seeks an experienced special education educator/leader to help school districts across the northeast region to improve student outcomes and state/district processes in special education.


The Senior Advisor will actively lead and participate in the design, development and delivery of special education professional learning and coaching services to support teachers and administrators as they work with PCG systems to service students and solve complex special education problems.


The Senior Advisor will be focused on Professional Development and Training within the Northeast region of the United States.

Responsibilities


  • Learn web-based technologies to a high level of proficiency and lead clients through training modules
  • Design and deliver professional development and technical assistance in support of PCG’s technologies (e.g., EdPlan) and other client services (leadership development, instructional coaching, etc.), as needed
  • Develop online and on-site training modules for various end user types/school district personnel
  • Evaluate client needs, drafts plans, and execute approved training modules for clients
  • Deliver training, including but not limited to virtual sessions, webinars, onsite, videos and recorded sessions
  • Advise and support school districts and state education agencies in PCG'S delivery of special education systems, operational supports and policy reviews
  • Train and coach PCG team members in national and state-specific special education compliance and policy, continually keeping staff members up to speed on current policies, trends, and best practices from across the nation
  • Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives and national conferences, sharing best practices, strategies, and helping position PCG as the premier education solutions provider to schools and communities worldwide
  • Participate in the development and dissemination of special education related white papers, reports, guidance documents, procedure manuals, training materials, and other written materials for clients and the firm
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support business development activities across a specific region, in close partnership with a focused business development team, through participation in proposals, demonstrations, consultative client conversations



Qualifications


Required Education and Work Experience


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of work experience in a school setting with demonstrated success and a strong reputation as an exceptional special educator and staff trainer
  • An understanding of key policy issues and trends that affect special education within the Northeast region of the United States

  • Excellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills
  • Must exhibit a positive, can-do attitude in tackling complex and persistent problems affecting schools and communities
  • Commitment to deliver exceptional client service and contribute in a team environment
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications
  • Acts proactively to identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Basic knowledge in adult learning theory, training methodologies and presentation/facilitation
  • Detail-oriented problem-solving approach to business issues
  • Must be effective in teaching adults and enjoy working with diverse clients and teams

Compensation



Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role of $85,000 to $125,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
