Job Description
Summary


Conducts financial activities for the Finance Department by performing the following duties:


Accounting Responsibilities


Prepares journal entries related to Sales, Inventory, Banking Activity, Payroll and other miscellaneous accruals


Prepares and maintains account reconciliations and analysis to financials


Updates Period End Financial Reports and Managerial Reports


Maintains the Fixed Asset Ledger for acquisitions and disposals


Supports key financial statement analysis vs. Plan & Prior Year


Support annual bank, vendor and financial audits


Ad hoc project management focused on driving efficiencies and cost savings in the business


Cash Management Responsibilities


Prepare and review daily funding requirements and reconciliations


Maintains Daily Cash and Loan activity schedules


Prepare weekly Borrowing Base Certificate per Lender requirements


Manage Vendor ACH/Wire program with AP and Procurement Teams


Collaborate with Controller on required Cash reconciliations


Analyst Responsibilities


Vendor Spend Reporting


Plant OH Spend Reporting


Ad-hoc Financial Analytics


Supervisory Responsibilities


This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however may supervise individuals cross-functionally through project work.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience


3+ years of Accounting/Finance experience preferred. Bachelors in Accounting/Business Administration Required or direct relatable experience. Advanced Excel Skills, including knowledge of Pivot Tables, Data Lookup Formulas, and Macros. Working knowledge of accounting principles.


Language Skills


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.


Reasoning Ability


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with the Microsoft suite of software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and have knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning platforms (Aspen Canopy is a plus).

Other Skills And Abilities


Must have excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Ability to speak fluent Spanish or Polish is a plus.
