Security Systems Specialist Jobs

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Security Technology, this position may perform some or all of the following duties, as required: train communications division staff on current or new technologies utilized by the division; assist Director in general administrative work such as budget and resource priorities; develop and implement outreach initiatives; maintain, initiate, and develop administrative procedures pertaining to operational systems; monitor and evaluate programs and activities; maintain and administer technology areas including CCTV, electronic access, CAD/RMS, NG911, two-way radios, and other public safety systems.
Under direction, will assist/participate in processing, coordination, development, programming, and implementation of new systems and technology relating to video surveillance across the university as well as other security, police, and public safety systems. Acts as a liaison to coordinate, design and implement systems and network technologies with the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Medical Center Information Technology, Student Life, Public Safety and others for systems and technology related to security, police, and public safety. Conducts on-site training as needed for internal and external staff.
This intermittent, part-time position is subject to 24-hour call-in and works during home football games and other special events.
Salary range: $20.53 – $37.36 per hour
