Security Analyst Jobs

Sony Corporation of America seeks a Security Analyst in Herndon, VA to be responsible for information security event analysis, incident response, and related security activities. Requires a Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Security or related field or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience performing information security monitoring and incident response activities, including assessment and attribution across global networks. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience performing packet, log and traffic analysis to identify anomalies, detect threats and take mitigative and preventative actions; utilizing information security tools and techniques, including threat intelligence, Splunk log monitoring tools and Fireeye HX host-based threat detection tools; validating security-relevant data and detect incidents with SQL, Shell and Python; documenting incident response analysis activities; developing new, repeatable methods for finding malicious activity across the global networks; optimizing devices and logging fidelity to extract security information and ensure available and complete security visibility; and utilizing Fireeye HX endpoint detection and response tool to perform in-depth host analysis and forensics. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.

Salary range: $103,100 - $120,000.
