Responsibilities


GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking a Security Analyst to be part of the Corporate IT Security Team supporting the corporate office of SeaWorld Theme Parks & Entertainment located in Orlando, Florida. This Analyst is responsible for assisting the team with planning, designing, implementing, and operating cybersecurity solutions and processes in a rapidly evolving, requirements-based, and risk-informed enterprise environment. This includes advanced technical support to the business and IT staff, troubleshooting and resolving complex security problems, enhancing, and optimizing security tools, leading risk analysis and mitigation activities, documenting and improving security processes, and contributing to the overall success of the cybersecurity mission.


The candidate chosen for this position will lead the cybersecurity vulnerability and risk portfolio related to cyber security, including the management of vulnerability identification, remediation, and reporting of threats to the enterprise. Reporting to the Cybersecurity manager and working in conjunction with the Cybersecurity team, this person will also support other Cybersecurity functions such as application security, platform security, cloud security, security operations, and incident response.

  • Conduct research to identify and stay updated on emerging internal and external threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques. Stay abreast of the latest security trends and developments.
  • Analyze security events and alerts to identify potential security breaches or suspicious activities. Conduct forensic analysis on security events to determine the scope and impact of incidents.
  • Risk Management – Analyzing, Tracking and Reporting Experience
  • Provide operational support for security systems, including troubleshooting and resolving security-related issues, monitoring system performance, and maintaining system availability.
  • Experience troubleshooting, responding, and triaging Cyber security related events.
  • Perform forensic analysis on security events and provide recommendations to harden the environment
  • Experience in identifying, documenting, and remediating security compliance deviations
  • Research and identifying new internal and external threats.


Secondary Skills


  • Vulnerability Management experience and hands-on experience and knowledge of Tenable Vulnerability Management Tool and reporting
  • Experience with Security SIEM tools
  • Manage and prioritize vulnerabilities by utilizing vulnerability management tools like Tenable Vulnerability Management. Perform vulnerability scanning, analyze results, and recommend remediation actions.
  • M365 Security Tools Experience


Qualifications


  • Experience in security operations ensuring the ongoing health, integrity, security hygiene of network security products and services
  • Deep, practical knowledge of cybersecurity engineering and architecture best practices and vendor recommendations; including Tenable, Defender, CIS, NIST, ISO, SANS, and others
  • BS degree, focused within information security, a related field of study, or commensurate work experience
  • Assisting in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Experience reviewing and implementing security change requests, troubleshooting security problems, and conducting appropriate rollback procedures as necessary
  • At least 3 to 5 years of industry experience in progressively more challenging networking and cybersecurity roles
  • Policy creation and management
  • In-depth, hands-on experience with security recommendations around vulnerabilities, patching, risks, virtual infrastructure, Azure, AWS, certificates and key management, and related cybersecurity technologies


Additional Skills & Qualifications


  • Able to come into the office at a minimum 2 days per week.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience working within theme park environments, entertainment venues, and the hospitality industry.
  • A keen appreciation for reasonable standards of due diligence and due care, with a special emphasis on the Center for Internet Security’s ‘Top 20’ Critical Controls as a primary baseline, and the MITRE ATT&CK kill-chain model for active defense of an enterprise under attack.
  • Self-motivated, works under minimal supervision, and willingness to see projects through.
  • A willingness to pitch in and help, mentor junior members of the cybersecurity team, and other IT staff while directly supporting the vision and goals established by the Manager of IT Security Services, the Director of IT Infrastructure, and the Chief Information Officer.
  • Available to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends when changes are being implemented.
