Overview: Take orders, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. Maintain stock, supplies, and cleanliness of Manor Bar and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned functions:
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.
- Scheduled hours of service
- Prices for specified bar selections
- Particular characteristics/description of wines/champagnes ordered
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- V.I.P.'s
- Special events/ requests/arrangements
- Liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages ordered
- Designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method, and garnishes required
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills: Ability to understand guests' service needs; ability to access and input information into the P.O.S. system; ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when preparing drinks and providing service to guests within any given period of time.
Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Food Handlers Certification is required.
- Responsible Beverage Service Certification is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 21 years of age to pour alcoholic beverages. Minimum one year experience as a Bartender in a fine dining restaurant/hotel environment.
The pay scale for this position is between $15.50/hour plus tips, etc. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
Rosewood Miramar Beach requires all associates to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination, including receiving a booster if eligible. Accordingly, applicants will be required to submit proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment and may only begin employment if fully vaccinated.
