Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Scrub Tech to join our team. As a Scrub Tech, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room for surgery, ensuring the surgical team has the necessary instruments and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Scrub Tech Responsibilities

• Counting sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery
• Assisting with wound closure by providing the surgeon with necessary instruments and supplies
• Maintaining accurate and complete medical records and ensuring patient confidentiality
• Communicating effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals
• Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and instruments after surgery
• Assisting the surgical team in putting on sterile gowns and gloves
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and providing assistance as needed
• Maintaining a sterile field during surgery by monitoring the environment and alerting the team of any breaches
• Preparing the operating room for surgery by sterilizing equipment and ensuring necessary instruments and supplies are available

Scrub Tech Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrub Tech
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
• Certification as a Scrub Tech required
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Document Requirements

• AHA BLS required
• Active CST license required

Working Hours
40 hours per week Some On Call/Call back. 8 hour shifts M-F
07:00 - 07:00
Salary
Upto $2200 weekly gross
