Required Qualifications

• Ability to use assessments to differentiate instruction and improve student achievement
• Possess deep understanding of NYSLSS/CCLS
• Willing to be a leader in effective teaching practices, methodology, and curriculum
• Strong use of technology to support instruction and able to articulate the uses of technology to advance instruction and engage students
• Evidence of success at undergraduate and/or graduate level
• Strong written and oral communication skills; strong work ethic, positively engages with students and families
• NYS Certification in Earth Science & General Science 7-12
• Ability to collaborate with department staff, special area teachers and administrators

Duties

Teach Earth Science for grades 9-12
