Scenic Arts Craftsperson (Special Projects)

SEASONAL POSITION

What You Get To Do

• Assist with the fabrication, installation/strike, and maintenance/repair of props, set pieces and décor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist with material inventory process.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and Guests.
• Assist with décor elements such as garland, Christmas trees and wreaths to include testing the lights and attaching décor elements such as ornaments, ribbon, sprays, etc.

What It Takes To Succeed

• Must be comfortable working at heights, ladder work to decorate different scenery pieces such as tall Christmas trees.
• Have a valid Driver's license and able to meet company driving guidelines.
• Ability to stand for prolong periods and work with hands for extended periods of time.
• Ability to follow a pattern and replicate a décor template
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climbs/ascends heights, if needed.

What Else Is Important

• Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations.
• Comfortable working in and around water.
• Comfortable working in theaters or outdoors with varying lighting conditions, (including dark/nighttime)
• Ability to stand, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach, twist and turn with complete flexibility.
• Comfortable working around animals.
• Ability to climb ladder and work at heights between 6 and 65 feet.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50lbs.
• Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes.
• Ability to train on and properly use protective gear.
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
