Job Description

The PA Education Association (PAEA) is looking for you: a creative, driven leader to join our team as the Salesforce Administrator.


Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Research & DataOps, the Salesforce Administrator will leverage their Salesforce expertise, experience, problem-solving mindset, and creativity to support, advise, design, build, deliver, and maintain the organization’s Salesforce ecosystem end to end. The administrator will lead application design, maintenance and security protocol, and configuration, alongside testing and deployment, and assist PAEA’s business units in the development of business requirements, specifications, and flows. The successful candidate will work alongside the Enterprise Project Manager to improve business processes through deployment, integration, and adoption of Salesforce. Specific objectives include:

  • Lead the continued development and streamlining of PAEA user experience
  • Drive efficiency gains across the organization through Salesforce optimization
  • Execute on PAEA’s technology and data vision and strategy
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of PAEA’s Salesforce instance (CRM)
  • Build Salesforce competence and mastery across the organization
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation/resolution strategies


In addition, the Salesforce Administrator will work across the Association’s programmatic and operational functions (finance, IT, external vendor partners, SMEs, etc.) to develop and deploy regular enhancements to the Salesforce ecosystem. This role has the potential for supervisory responsibilities, depending on candidate experience and demonstration of effective team management.


This position is fully remote, though some travel may be required. PAEA offers highly competitive benefits, including robust funding for all staff to pursue professional development, conference attendance, etc.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Configuration & Administration

  • Create, maintain, and support custom objects, formulas, validation rules, workflows, flows, process builder, approvals, and assignment rules.
  • Work with company leadership to design, document, build, test, and deploy enhancements to Salesforce custom objects, page layouts, workflows, alerts, reports, and complex dashboards.
  • Establish and implement best practices for system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, and data integrity.
  • Own, manage, and drive optimization of PAEA’s entire SFDC platform (Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Experience Cloud) to deliver business solutions while maintaining existing functionality in Salesforce.
  • Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users.
  • Design, plan, and ensure the overall maintenance of the database for integrity and accuracy including cleansing and duplicate record management.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a governance structure including establishing and modifying permission sets and profiles to support data security.


Dashboards & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain customized reports and dashboards to improve system usability and support business functions.
  • Work with business insights/intelligence and management to create dashboards that drive understanding of business performance.
  • Maintain a repository of configuration documentation including entity relationship diagrams, schema, and setup across each Object.


Training

  • Mentor, teach, and instruct SFDC users in CRM best practices.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team to develop an onboarding plan and materials specific to permission sets and role definitions.
  • Develop training materials and provide training and support to SFDC users.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required

  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Salesforce.com administrator
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, including the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator
  • Demonstrated communication skills, a positive attitude, a team player, and the ability to achieve set targets
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion


Preferred

  • Understanding of relational databases and data integration tools
  • Strong data management abilities
  • Experience in analyzing business requirements and Entity Relationship diagrams, and in implementing Salesforce Custom Objects, Junction Objects, Master-Detail relationships, Lookup relationships
  • Experience supervising direct reports


SALARY AND BENEFITS:

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000-110,000. Additionally, PAEA offers a highly competitive benefits package, including health insurance, 403(b) retirement plan contributions, a monthly wellness stipend, generous holiday leave and paid time off.


ADA SPECIFICATIONS:

This position is largely sedentary in nature, however, one must possess the ability to speak, hear, and write as well as the ability to use a computer and related software programs.
