Sales Trainee - Bcp Products (Building Construction Products)

Ziegler CAT has a great entry-level opportunity as a Sales Trainee for an energetic, self-starting individual with an interest in serving our many industries. The Trainee position is a full-time role where you have the opportunity to learn about all areas of the business and industries we serve. It is truly a unique opportunity to learn about our business and create meaningful relationships!
As a Trainee, you will be actively involved with several key business areas including: Sales, Sales Administration, Parts Operations, Product Support, Marketing, and Guidance Technology. Additionally, you will gain exposure to the different markets we serve including Construction, Mining, Agriculture, Electric Power, and more. After completing approximately 6 months of foundational training and assignments at several of our branch locations, opportunities for placement will be evaluated in all areas of exposure during the trainee program. The Trainee program has proven to be an important step on the pathway to promotion in all key business areas, including sales and management roles.

• Asks questions and actively engages with the people responsible for training in assigned department
• Interacts professionally with customers and employees in all settings
• Communicates on a consistent basis with direct supervisor
• Contacts department manager prior to training session to finalize schedule and create a plan
• Promotes Ziegler at trade-shows or other company events
• Completes necessary in-person and online training
• Creates meaningful relationships through effective communication skills
• Takes time to learn company's organizational structure

• Bachelor’s degree
• Quick learner; genuinely curious to learn more and ask questions
• Previous experience in construction or agriculture industry a plus
• Highly motivated and driven personality
• Clean driving record
• Interest in working in the markets we serve in a customer-facing position
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
