Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
For candidates local to Spokane, this will be a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in office and two days remote. The hybrid arrangement also requires rotating Saturday & Sundays, based on business needs.

This position is being offered as a Work from Home opportunity for candidates not local to Spokane-WA, Richardson-TX, Hartford-CT, Glens Falls-NY, and Knoxville-TN.
Candidates outside of those areas will be considered for a fully remote work arrangement. The remote work arrangement will require rotating Saturdays and Sundays, based on business needs.

Under general supervision manages a team of 12-18 Sales Counselors in a call center environment. Responsibilities include the development of staff and processes to ensure high quality service to all customers and to enhance marketing, sales, and underwriting performance. Support leadership team by handling day to day operations of a sales team.

This position will have Pacific Time hours . There is a potential for a Saturday rotation. 1 closing a week and 1-2 holidays a year .
What Will You Do?
  • Accountable for decisions related to hiring, promotions, compensation and termination decisions for team.
  • Mentors, trains, and coaches to foster development and professional growth.
  • Initiates and fosters teamwork within the team and with other teams to create and maintain an environment of partnership, quality service, and superior sales results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Reviews day to day operations and quality to ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Manages team and individual goals and performance measures, monitor progress toward these goals.
  • Serves as a resource on sales process, procedures, and techniques by maintaining and enhancing product, process, communication and sales skills.
  • Allocates resources (staff, dollars, and training) to meet unit sales and business goals.
  • Conducts team meetings to keep staff informed regarding processes, goals and results, and procedural or policy changes.
  • Ensures unit & departmental performance measures are met or exceeded including inbound call management and outbound call performance.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • General knowledge of business products, processes and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 3 years insurance, sales center or customer sales environment preferred.
  • Solid interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Solid problem solving skills.
  • General knowledge of business center/insurance operations.
  • Strong keyboard and systems navigation skills
  • Skillful with Word and Excel
  • General performance management and problem solving skills.
  • Superior customer service and policy service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of product and associated processes.
  • College degree preferred.
  • General communication, negotiation, supervisory and people development skills.
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
