- Maintain company and vendor Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Update chemical inventory as required.
- Participate in and track safety audit programs; conduct regular safety inspections, recommend improvement plans, and report results and follow up.
- Support company safety and health management system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the HSE Manager.
- Maintain Contractor Tracking Program and assist in recommendations for Contractors based on EMR, TRIR, and Safe Behaviors.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends when needed.
- Assist in administering and maintaining additional compliance programs such as LOTO, Emergency Action Plan, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, BBP, etc.
- Prepare and post visual aids in the facility and ensure communication boards are updated.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
- Support the implementation of 5S throughout the facility. Act as resource for all departments including reporting and building standards.
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
- Responsible for training of lean and 5S concepts and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
- Monitor special condition permits including hot work permits and confined space.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task
- Lead company Gemba program to include scheduling, documentation, charting, and reporting.
- Capable group speaker able to conduct training activities for group sizes of 2-50 employees
- Participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis, document findings and suggest/implement solutions for preventative actions.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Assist employees with annual shoe ordering program.
- Walk the manufacturing floor on a regular basis and provide support where needed.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules and will be required to work across shifts for conducting training/communication to personnel.
- Conduct new employee safety orientation training.
- “Open minded” and creative thinker to design and implement effective programs, policies, and services to promote safety and support the organization’s objectives
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver training in classroom and production environment.
- Utilize learning management system (LMS) for all approved training course materials and training records.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor with the ability to interact within all levels of the organization

The salary range for this position is $64,560- $96,840. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
