Job Responsibilities:

• Educate employees and supervisors as to the applicable standards for the organization, as well as being the point of contact for EHS related information.
• Coach personnel to improve safety practices, behaviors, and performance.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes of incidents, and work with management to follow through on corrective actions.
• Present EHS training topics in a classroom and field environment.
• Instruct all employees on requirements including pre-job hazard identification, controls, and tools available to mitigate risks
• Perform EHS inspections, field audits, and facility audits. Identify hazards and appropriate controls to reduce and/or eliminate risk.
• Develop and ensure training matrix is in place for annual safety training along with new hire training.
• Improve performance as it relates to safety and safety culture.
• Consult with employees, managers, and customers to ensure timely and effective resolution of EHS concerns.
• Act as a resource and subject matter expert in EHS matters.
• Develop and improve systems, implement company safety programs, processes, and procedures to achieve an incident-free workplace.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated skills to deliver effective one-on-one and group training.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with third party safety verification processes (ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce/PEC, etc.)
• In-depth experience with a manufacturing/industrial environment and EHS compliance assurance programs.
• Confidentiality and professionalism a must.
• At least 3 years of experience in safety related field required.
• Experience identifying risk conditions and driving corrective action programs.
• Knowledge and understanding of governmental compliance including OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, industry standards, drug and alcohol testing, etc.
• Knowledge of EHS regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS related programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field preferred but not required.
• Experience in field employee safety at customer locations a major plus.
