Job Summary

Basic Function:

The Illinois Network Management team develops provider networks and reimbursement models, contracts with facilities and physicians across the state, operationalizes a variety of financial methods and payment models, with an emphasis on earned payments for quality and cost outcomes for BCBSIL members, and protects balances due to BCBSIL that these models generate.

This position is further responsible for producing datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools; performing research and assisting in analyzing data related to the divisions strategic initiatives and broader research needs; working closely with internal and external customers to build relationships; continuously gaining a deeper understanding of the divisions data in order to meet business needs; analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers; and identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
• Verify accuracy of reports and provide insights with guidance.
• Assist in solving a range of problems.
• Assist with possible solutions using standard procedures to solve routine or basic problems.
• Assist in producing data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel or other reporting tools.
• Learn needed skills by performing assigned work.
• Bachelor Degree OR 2 years experience in data analysis and information reporting data.
• Build knowledge of division, business processes and customers.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Contract review/contractual analysis
• SAS Programming
• Data analysis/mathematical calculations
• Tableau reporting
• Healthcare/claims experience
