Job Description

Our Human Resources Department is focused on ALDI’s most valuable asset: our people. In this role the Risk Analyst I will be responsible for running reports to compile and analyze employee and customer accident data, drafting memos detailing loss analyses, collaborating with team members to make recommendations for safety improvements, and supporting various risk and safety-related projects work with [other risk team analysts, various internal/external business partners, and our actuary; will work with risk management information system and various third party accident systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large data sets in Excel and will have knowledge or understanding of WC/GL/Auto accident claims and have an educational background in risk, safety, claims administration, technology, project management, business, etc. The objective of this role is to support business-specific initiatives and other risk management projects and objectives by providing accurate data and analytics.

Starting Wage: $34.75 per hour
Work Location: Naperville, IL
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.
  • Researches and compiles accident related data to support risk management projects and objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Interacts with various parties involved in the claim process.
  • Assists in evaluation of feasibility, effectiveness and efficiency of projects and initiatives.
  • Provides proactive analysis of current projects and analytical review of reported results to update and inform their leader for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.
  • Prepares and updates project plans and proposes milestones and deadlines for new and ongoing initiatives.
  • Assists with preparation and analysis of data to identify exposures and risks.
  • Supports strategies for reducing costs and transferring risk.
  • Assists in analyzing current company procedures and in identifying best practices.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Data/Analytics, Loss Prevision, Safety or Legal Services required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk, Safety Management, Business Administration or a related field required.
  • Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
  • Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
  • Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
