This job contributes to Starbucks success by identifying and evaluating loss exposures, determining the cost of risks, developing cost risk allocation models, administering risk financing programs, and purchasing property and casualty insurance.

As a risk analyst, you will…

• Provide and maintain underwriting data, reviews policies and endorsements side letters of agreement for accuracy. Ensures accuracy of insurance premium billings, invoices from brokers, third party administrators, state assessments, audits and retroactive adjustment.
• Collaborate with the risk financing manager and the insurance broker to develop risk financing plans that are in keeping with Starbucks overall mission, goals and that cost effectively meet the needs of the company.
• Determine total cost of risk from outside actuary reports, risk assumption options, insurance premiums, assessments, claims adjusting costs, broker and actuary fees for budget, expensing and accrual purposes. Assists risk manager in developing cost of risk allocation models that are fair.
• Provide certificates of insurance, bonds and contractual insurance guidance as required.
