The purpose and role of the Site Director is in collaboration with the Director to ensure that the operational and programmatic needs of their specific Rise site are met. They lead and collaborate with the Program Assistant to ensure that the yearly scope and cycle is completed and that activities are fun and curated to their students' grade level and interests. Site Directors are liaisons between after school care and Movement School administration. They interview, hire and lead a team of Group Leaders to serve the students and families of the Movement School Charter school network. They have an understanding of the financial needs of their site and with guidance from the Director ensure that their respective site is operating well in all aspects. Reporting directly to the Director (s)he embodies and models the behaviors expected from all team members that are a part of the Rise staff. (S)he builds relationships with group leaders, school staff, students and parents. (S)he plays an important role in ensuring that staff culture thrives.
Responsibilities:
  • Registration and Enrollment
  • During the school year they are responsible for ensuring that all students are properly checked in to Procare
  • Handle financial assistance forms from parents
  • Communicate with parents regarding registration
  • Register and enroll students
Hiring, Training, Management and Culture
  • Working with the Director assist in executing the summer hiring strategy
  • Schedule and coordinate quarterly staff hang outs
  • Foster a fun, welcoming and organized staff culture
  • Manage Group Leaders by leading by example and establishing relationships
  • Manage and lead the Program Assistant to ensure that the student experience is in alignment with the mission and vision of Rise
  • Lead daily huddle in tandem with the Program Assistant
Budgets and Operations
  • Enforce enrollment and attendance policies
  • Submit receipts to the Director and/or Movement Foundation Accountant when necessary
  • Ensure that your site is properly staffed within the budgetary parameters
  • Monitor tuition payments
  • Ensure that student invoices are posted at the beginning of the month
  • Submitting and approving payroll for team members
  • Manage time off requests from staff
  • Post monthly staff schedules
Curriculum and Student Experience
  • They place supplies orders based on the monthly list as provided by the Program Assistants
  • In collaboration with the Program Assistant the Site Director is responsible for ensuring the Rise objectives are being executed through the curriculum
Other Responsibilities
  • Site Directors are responsible for ensuring that their site is properly stocked with snack and general supplies
  • Building out the Daily Schedule
  • Emailing monthly newsletters to parents
  • Weekly 1:1 meetings with the Director
  • Weekly connects with School Administration
  • Responding to parent messages via Procare
