Nature Of Work
Support the Site Supervisor, and manage program staff with the daily operations of an Orlando After-School All-Stars (Orlando ASAS) after-school and/or summer program. Ensure the enrichment and safety objectives of the program and the needs of the staff, youth, families and public are met. An employee in this classification performs administrative and supervisory work under the direction of the Orlando ASAS Site Supervisor. Work is reviewed for results obtained through reports, observation, performance evaluations and conferences. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, guiding and supporting ASAS Recreation workers, and ensuring the safety of an Orlando ASAS after-school and/or summer program and facility. Work is sometimes performed outdoors and employee is exposed to extreme heat, insects and weather conditions. Employee may be required to work evenings, weekends and holiday.
Work Hours
School Year: Monday – Friday; 7:30AM – 9:30AM / 3:45PM – 6:30PM
Summer: Monday – Friday; 7:30AM – 3:30PM / 9:30AM – 5:30PM
Examples of Duties

• Coordinate with partnering middle school and/or community center administration, in the absence of the Site Supervisor, about the effective execution of facility use, program scheduling and collaboration of services.
• Support the program staff with the planning and execution of all activities and services offered at an Orlando ASAS program site.
• Assist in the training and development of staff members to facilitate and support the operations of the Orlando ASAS program site.
• Monitor and ensure adherence of Orlando ASAS program goals and objectives at program site.
• Assist in the evaluation of Orlando ASAS program site and communicate any corrective action with the Site Supervisor when needed.
• Ensure proper implementation of Orlando ASAS policy and procedures in the areas of operations and curriculum at program site.
• Monitors and ensures the safety and security of Orlando ASAS program and facility.
• Develop community resources and seek out new opportunities for program partnerships.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited college with an Associates Degree preferred; one (1) year of experience of program management or one (1) year in a supervisory role in the educational, recreation or leisure services field overseeing various activities such as educational programs, youth sports, aquatics, cultural and therapeutic arts, health and fitness, community centers, etc required; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Applicant must possess a valid Florida driver’s license. First Aid/CPR certifications preferred. Certification by the Florida Recreation and Park Association desired, but not required.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PROVIDED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
