Job Summary


Crossroads Trading, a popular buy-sell-trade retailer with stores throughout the country, is now searching for an experienced Store Manager in Training to join our fashionable, eco-conscious team. If you have a background in retail management, are fashion obsessed, and love the idea of running your own store, while being supported by a great company, working at Crossroads may be your dream job!


Responsibilities


  • Helping Store Manager with most day-to-day operations of the store
  • Ensuring loss prevention
  • Reviewing and editing staff time cards and processing payroll
  • Attending manager meetings
  • Ensuring proper merchandising of store
  • Participating in all inventory-related tasks
  • Maintaining operating supplies
  • Ensuring safety & security of store
  • Approving payroll
  • Completing staff evaluation
  • Assisting in staff evaluations
  • Assist in training and developing a positive, fashion-focused staff
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Acting as manager-on-duty on Store Manager’s days off
  • Conducting staff meetings
  • Giving timely and consistent feedback to team through coaching


Qualifications


Needs:


  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • A love and thorough understanding of fashion, designers, labels and trends
  • 2 years as lead manager of a fashion retail store
  • The desire to work for an eco-conscious green company
  • A proven track record of professionalism and career-growth
  • 1-2 years of retail experience
  • Experience hiring and managing staff in a fast-paced, busy environment


Wants:


  • Similar industry experience (buy-sell-trade- and/or consignment experience a HUGE PLUS)
  • Ability to authenticate merchandise
  • Luxury/Designer retail experience
  • Fashion degree and/or certificate
  • Extensive fashion knowledge including familiarity with labels, brands, designers and current trends
