The Respiratory Therapy Intern is directly accountable to the Respiratory Therapist (RT) and under the general supervision of the Supervisor/Manager.

These are paid internship positions.

7am-7pm (days) 7pm-7am(nights)

Interns in good standing who pass their boards will be offered FT, PT, PRN Respiratory Therapist (RT) position.

Responsibilities:

• Provides patient education for diseases, medications, and treatment.
• Assist in maintaining and cleaning of Respiratory Equipment.
• Delivers and assesses patient response to ordered therapy.
• Administer medications and treatments based on patient outcomes, and provider orders, under appropriate supervision.
• Maintaining and monitoring of Respiratory Inventory
• Responsible for assisting in providing respiratory care.
• Performing technical respiratory treatments.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Currently enrolled in the second year and academically in good standing of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Licensure/Certifications/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
