Assess customer-specific education needs and collaborate with staff to deliver a positive educational experience

Provide peer-to-peer education and in-servicing to nurses, physicians, and hospital staff to support medical device implementations

Serve as an education resource on the particular device

Manages and oversees both formal and informal education processes and programs

Actively works to assist in transformation processes at the unit/area level, utilizing project management and improvement processes.

Develops knowledge and competency in pediatric respiratory care and professional development practices.

Assesses clinical skills of staff and provides learning opportunities to advance clinical competencies and decision-making skills of staff and documents competencies.

Minimum three years of clinical experience in specialty area, preferred.

Resuscitation requirements as appropriate to specialty area.

MANAGING PEOPLE: Uses HR/Performance Management processes and systems to align individual performance to achieve organizational results.

Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.

Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.

RESPIRATORY PATIENT ASSESSMENT: Assesses and reassesses patient's condition and alters therapy based on assessments.

Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.

Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills required.

Prior successful pharmaceutical or healthcare Sales Manager experience, medical devices, or other healthcare products sales experience preferred.

The Great Lakes district includes: Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

Provides patient education for diseases, medications, and treatment.

Education: Currently enrolled in the second year and academically in good standing of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

Responsible for assisting in providing respiratory care.

Administer medications and treatments based on patient outcomes, and provider orders, under appropriate supervision.

Delivers and assesses patient response to ordered therapy.

Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.

Demonstrated time-management, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Prepare course syllabi addressing targeted student abilities, specific competencies, textbook requirements, grading/assessment methodology, course scheduling, and/or other items as required.

Knowledge of current curricular content and education standards.

Demonstrated teaching and educational facilitation skills.

Knowledge of respiratory care theory, practice, and trends.

Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodologies.

AHA BLS Provider certification required

RRT credential, issued by NBRC

Licensed or eligible for licensure in CA

Some Of The Great Work You'll Do Includes

Observation of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures, including, airway management, manual ventilation, and cardiac compressions as needed.

A variety of respiratory care treatments given to specific patient populations (adult, pediatric, or neonatal).

Explanation of treatments to patient and/or family before performing.

Termination of patient treatment upon notice of patient discomfort, troubled medical status, or inability to accept treatment.

Observes therapist physician interaction as they assist the physician with non-surgical insertion, maintenance and removal of artificial airways, as requested.

Learns age-specific version(s) of respiratory techniques when working with adult/pediatric/neonatal population.

Minimum experience provided through Externship/internship program of accredited school for education of Respiratory Care Practitioners.

Expert in standard 02 delivery devices, their uses and liter flow requirements

Manages Ventilators on intubated patients

Places and manages non-invasive ventilation on patients

Performs intubations in emergencies after certification

Assists the Director of Respiratory Services and Supervisors or designee in completing alternate job duties as instructed.

Experience with statistical analysis software packages such as SAS, R studio, and SQL Management Studio.

One year of experience working in infectious disease surveillance systems and conducting data analyses.

Experience developing and implementing surveillance methodologies, systems design, data collection processes and data visualization and report generation is preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Review, improve, and design data visualizations to enhance surveillance of respiratory diseases and VPDs.

Conduct data analyses and design projects for respiratory diseases and VPDs of interest.

Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.

Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Required. Graduate Degree, Preferred.

Experience: Three years of experience, Required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: RRT credential designated by the NBRC, Required.

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
