Position Overview
This position is designed to provide the Residential Aide/Care Attendant employee an opportunity to decide if working as a Certified Nurse"s Aide (CNA) is a good fit. During the employee"s employment, the Nursing Administration will complete a performance evaluation before the employee may enroll in the on-line certification program.
The Resident Care Attendant works under the supervision of a licensed nurse and performs various resident care activities and related non-professional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of residents.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Candidates selected for this position will participate in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class during employment.
75 Hours of Class Time Required ($750.00 Value)
While attending the class the students will be hired as a Residential Aide at $15.09 per hour, upon successfully obtaining the CNA Certification the student/employee will be moved to a CNA status and the hourly wage will increase to $16.10 per hour. Education Requirements
1. A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred.
2. Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn.
3. Completes required continuing education.
4. This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and visitors at the nursing homes. Job Advertisement

The CNA class will be ON-LINE with the Skills and Final Testing portion of the course/program
to be facilitated by the Nursing Administration at the Madison Valley Manor in Ennis, MT.
There are only 6 available openings for the class that begins on on the first Sunday of each month.
