Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Rehab Aide to join our team to work alternating weekends.

The Rehab Aide is responsible for assisting the rehabilitation staff (PT, OT, SLP, Recreation Therapy) with a variety of duties to optimize our patient care activities

• Responsible for regularly cleaning treatment areas (including toys) and equipment; will appropriately document cleaning of the department equipment based on manufacturers guidelines and hospital policies and procedures
• Must be willing to learn and complete basic maintenance and modification of equipment and supplies such as pressure garments, walkers, gait trainers, standers and wheelchairs.
• Ensures all equipment and supplies are organized, available and accessible in both treatment and storage areas.
• Assists with set-up of equipment, patient transportation, and assists in patient treatment programs under the supervision of a therapist.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Experience

1 year experience in rehab/therapy preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
