Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Resident M.D. is responsible for providing appropriate and timely medical care to patients. They must seek assistance from the preceptor/faculty based on agreed parameters for level of training and attend educationally related activities as part of residency training, i.e. conferences and lectures. Residency is the phase of formal medical education beginning at graduation from medical school and ending after the educational requirements for the specialty certifying board has been completed.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
  • Continue to develop patient care knowledge through hands-on training, research, and attending lectures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provide efficient and courteous medical care to patients.
  • Communicate written and verbal instructions to patients.
  • Prepare and present lectures/journals as assigned.
  • Help provide education and training to students.
  • Participate in assigned monthly rotations to continue education.
  • Provide appropriate and timely medical care to patients.
  • Perform on-call duties as assigned.
