Job Description

Summary:

This position performs independently under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine (NM) Manager and Radiologists (Authorized Users). Performs a variety of procedures utilizing nuclear medicine, mobile nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment.

and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiological Technology required. Current Montana Radiological Technology License required.
  • A minimum of one (1) of the following certifications required:

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)

  • To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:Current Driver’s License required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in nuclear medicine and PET/CT required.
  • Current CPR preferred or must be successfully obtained during orientation.

Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).

In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:State law minimum liability coverage limits required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities: Performs Nuclear Medicine, Mobile Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures.

  • Maintains equipment and coordinates repairs and service as needed or directed.
  • Prepares the mobile vehicle for patient care. Stocks vehicle with appropriate supplies for necessary procedures. Prepares examination room for use.
  • Driver job duties as appropriate with qualifications and training: may be required to drive the mobile unit in special situations.
  • Exhibits knowledge and ability to operate/troubleshoot equipment on mobile NM vehicle, including network communications.
  • Maintains understanding of and follows current exam protocols.
  • Maintains accountability to technologist competency and quality control standards.
  • Readies the devices for the day by setting up and powering on the computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Assists with maintaining and ordering supply stock as directed.
  • Participates and coordinates patient care and flow. Greets and escorts patients from inside the medical facility to the mobile vehicle. Assists patients on/off the vehicle as needed. Uses mechanical lift when necessary.

Pay: $35.00 - $48.00 per hour
